Historic House Addition
Stuyvesant, New York
James Dixon Architect PC was hired to reconfigure an existing addition to this early Dutch house. A new kitchen and porches will be added without compromising the integrity of the historic structure. The project also includes the conversion of an existing barn into a guest house.

Bowne House Visitors' Center

Built in 1661, the Bowne House is one of the oldest structures in New York City. The proposed Visitors’ Center will provide much needed exhibit and office space, as well as a venue for meetings and events.

A. C. Goodyear House
Old Westbury, New York
In 2001, the World Monuments Fund and the Society for the Preservation of Long Island Antiquities successfully prevented the demolition of the A. Conger Goodyear House. Now listed on the New York State and National Register of Historic Places, the building is an important representation of the International Style. James Dixon was then commissioned to design a new structure based on the spirit of Edward Durell Stone's original vision.

This two bedroom apartment with views of Central Park had been an open loft. The new design uses moldings and built-ins to define the spaces, while keeping the apartment open to the views. The small galley kitchen has been enlarged, and a luxurious bathroom and dressing area enhance the Master Suite.
