Millbrook Guest House

This compound consists of a residence and two additional structures. The outbuildings feature a screened summer kitchen and dining space, as well as a changing room, outdoor shower, and fireplace. A pier built from site-harvested black locust sweeps over the pool and into the landscape beyond. The buildings are carefully integrated with the landscape to provide minimal disruption to the environment, and are sited well below exposed ridgelines.

The project received a Design Award from the American Institute of Architects.
